Tracks and Points (switches)
As you can see from the screen shots, I have also created a wooden sleeper based track system, in both single and double variants. The double tracks are basically the single driving track with an opposite running line next to it, a must for anyone who may be having problems with exporting secondary tracks. I will be preparing an extensive tutorial on how to get the best from the double track system using switch's and single track sections on both the driving track and an other running line. And not forgetting the switch's, I have eight different switch's to use as track, and track side objects.
M5 Motorway
This object, as you can see from the screen shot, is an elevated section of the M5 based on the section where the main line passes under it between Exeter and Exminster.
Rail under road bridges
I have three bridges ready for download (screen shots below) When "binded"using Routebuilder, the driving track sits to the left of the bridge hole, but you can alter the parameters so the bridge is positioned to suit your needs.
Cuttings and Embankments (single track)
This is a system, so called because the track side objects, when used in the correct order (numerically), will give you smooth rising and falling cuttings and embankments. Download the zip file containing the objects and open the txt file, this contain more detailed information on how to make the best of this system and speed up your BVE route building.
Cutting and embankment screen shots
Using Routebuilder for BVE I have been having a go myself at writing a route.
The route I'm working on is based on the Cornish branch line from St Ives to St Erth but will be extended to Penzance. I'm a matter of weeks away from having the first part of this route avaliable for testing to see if it works ok on other BVE'er computers...so watch this space!!!!
have a look at the screen grabs to get a feel of how this route will look when finished
Boso View Express or BVE is train driving simulation software developed by a Mr Makoy of Japan. This FREEWARE is certainly an option to MSTS or Trainz if you want to drive a train on your computer and experience the feel and realism that you'd expect from an high end software package.
I can't, in words do BVE justice but there are loads of very good web site's that will, go to the BVE links page and have a good look at what's online for you to download free of charge, go on!... have a go at driving a BVE train.....you can if you download the software drive a class 50 from Redditch to New st, that would be hellfire, although I dare say there's someone out there who has done it for real, not me though!!!
As can be seen from these screen grabs, I'm not far off finishing part one of this route ... St Ives to St Erth
I'll post the drivable route on this website ready for download and testing by whomever should wish to give it a go as soon as it is ready!
I'll then move on to part two ... St Erth to Penzance.
up to now...the people I'd like to thank and mention for their contribution are:
SMACE ... for his excellent object converter
Antony Bowden ... for all he and his team have done for BVE and allowing me to use his tree textures and objects ...
David White ... for his MS3D-CSV Converter without which Milkshape3d would have been useless ...
The team at Routebuilder ... without which I be struggling to have constructed this route by hand coding
Last and by no means least ... Mr Mackoy! for the obvious reasons!!
